If you ever worked with a discussion list, odds are you've subscribed to a GNU Mailman mailinglist manager. It's open source (under GPL licence) and many hosting providers have the option to set up your own mailinglist.
Unfortunately, Mailman has its very particular ways to store users and their data. Members need to visit a seperate URL to change their settings, they need to know a possibly different password, etc...
For Joomla 2.5 website owners, this is where Mailbridge can come into play. This extension allows your Joomla users to configure their Mailman settings directly from inside their Community Builder Profile.
The component can be downloaded here:
- The Community Builder plugin to allow users to change their settings
- The Joomla Component allowing admins to configure the display settings and retrieve the list info.
